The Beginning

Remember the Past

George Khouzame, also known as khazzoum to friends, is a proud Australian of Lebanese descent.  George Khouzame is long known to the Middle Eastern community in Australia as a self-taught business person who paved the way for Lebanese culture in Australia through his unique community and catering services.

As legendary founders of the George Khouzame Brand, both George and Julie Khouzame are the perfect example of people who have embraced the Australian and Lebanese culture.  Together the couple founded the self-help centre for the Lebanese community, which was later known as the Lebanese Welfare Centre.  In the mid 1980’s, the couple expanded into catering and event services in the community and established one of the first Lebanese catering companies – Lebanese Catering Service.

Today, it’s a truly global identity.  The George Khouzame brand showcases modern Middle Eastern and Australian cuisine with artistic flair.  From humble beginnings, the company now caters more than 500 events each year.

The George Khouzame brand has developed a reputation based on family, food and culture.  Together these values build the foundations of the George Khouzame name and legacy.
